Re-Circulating Horse Head Fountain. Amy Kingsbury smiles when she hears the serene sounds of trickling water and chirping birds emanating from the horse head fountain. FormLA placed the fountain in a shady area, a water-saving measure that prevents water from evaporating into the dry air.
Dog Maze – The Kingsberry Lhasa Apso, Beloved, enjoys running the permeably paved maze of trails in the backyard.
Drainage System. The original landscape of terraces and paths actually pushed water toward the Kingsbury home. With careful site study and grading, FormLA was able to bring natural contours back to the yard and guided water away from the home and into the ground and planters.
Living Canvas – A terraced hillside with little visual appeal was transformed into a gentle slope that now provides a stunning backdrop to the Kingsberry’s back patio.
Garden Area – Reverend Kingsberry sees his garden as the perfect place for prayer and soulful reflection.
Tree Preservation – FormLA took great care to preserve existing avocado, pepper and orange trees in the Kingsberry landscape.
Patio – The Kingsberry’s have abandoned their dining room and kitchen to enjoy their morning coffee in their outdoor living space.
The Kingsbury’s spent years renovating their home in Pasadena, bordering San Marino. After fully renovating “the worst house in the best neighborhood,” they turned to FormLA Landscaping to design, build and maintain the setting for their jewel of a home.
