We thought we’d faced down these challenges years ago – and won. It can be disheartening to once again bear-up with restrictions, especially when neighbors right next to us may still be operating with greater freedoms.
We have to perpetually remind ourselves that this is not the same old drought. We see some communities have earned a measure of water independence. We see smarter incentives that support LA’s overall resilience. We see Angelenos approaching challenges with optimism, creativity and tenacity – together.
Through the heat, please know that we are in the dirt next to you, pick-axes and hoses in hand, confident that LA will grow and bloom through it.
