VALUED CUSTOMERS & FRIENDS+
There is no place like home. We feel the truth of that every time we venture out and each time we return.
While humans can wander, adapting our environment to suit us, wildlife often isn’t so lucky. They need us to factor in their needs as we shape our spaces. This month, thanks in large part to friend and client Barbara Gotto, we are focused on how to do that exceptionally well.
As we head into summer, we wish you the awe and joy that comes from connecting with LA’s wild residents.
Sincerely,
Cassy and Kirk Aoyagi
Some of our favorite Angelenos have hooves, paws, wings and claws. Here is how we collaborate with them.

Cassy Aoyagi: While those at the interface feel it more accutely, all of LA lives in a wildlife corridor. A new Arroyos Foothill Conservancy-curated exhibit at Descanso Gardens’ Boddy House teases out what that means. Learn More
Isara Ongwiseth: Years ago, we worked with LA’s Descanso Gardens to define the “The New Look for LA.” Here is how we would evolve that aesthetic to address mega-wildfire, generational storms, and water restrictions. Let’s Imagine!

We go beyond creating habitat for LA’s wildlife to prioritizing their needs in our ongoing care. You can too!
JT Wilkinson: We maintain gardens to attract birds, butterflies, bees, lizards and other wildlife. This high-impact work may be easier than what you are already doing. Maintain Habitat

Feeling the gloom? Sure to cheer, these bright May blooms may debut in June due to the extended cool.

Here is what would usually expect to be Blooming Now.
Thank you for fueling us with your joy. We love seeing scenes from your gardens and the wild spaces you consider home.
Our clients have some skills! Client Gordon Ownby‘s photos are featured here and in the Descanso Gardens exhibit. Lincoln Wood captured the deer he surprised while enjoying his hillside Cleveland Sage.

This team makes an impact. We save LA’s health, resilience, time, money, water and wildlife – and we have fun doing it. Join Us!
