A little rain changes everything!

Normally February-blooming Flannel Bush is just fading in the medians between Playa Vista and Playa Del Rey. We witnessed Elegant Clarkia grow to the height of the Western Redbuds at the Shotgun House Coastal Garden.

Thank you to the Hillside Federation for hosting our fire defense series of presentations. We deeply appreciate architect Amanda Cavallo and former mayor and Malibu Fire Brigade Founder Mikke Pierson for joining Cassy Aoyagi and Patrick Barrett and offering substantial expertise!

 

Now on the Board of Forestry and Fire Protection, J. Lopez spent decades researching how to prepare homes for fire and educating Angelenos. We toured his Altadena home to learn his latest insights. Stay tuned – we’ll share them!
