Autumn brings abundance and beauty. This year, it’s also likely to bring more rain than we’ve seen in a while! Rainfall in L.A.’s drought presents some unique opportunities and risks.
While we may not be able to capture enough rain as a community, we can keep rainwater on our own properties with rainbarrels and cisterns. We can prevent runoff from overwhelming our infrastructure through infiltration. We can help ensure it supports struggling trees.
Erosion and slides can be expected, but steeply beautiful slope retention is possible.
We hope the tips that follow help you stay save and make the most of this special season!
Sincerely,
Cassy and Kirk Aoyagi
