City Nature Challenge

Let’s Celebrate (and Track) LA’s Biodiversity!

Date: April 21-28, 2025

Location: Greater Los Angeles

Tickets: Participate via the Free via iNaturalist

One of the greatest joys of curating a space full of LA’s indigenous plant life is it draws our native wildlife. From birds, bees and butterflies to lizards, deer and more, native plant gardens are full of life! The coming week is a chance to turn our awe for encounters with the wild into active support for LA’s wildlife.

Wondering where to look for wild things? Our clients are experts! Check out tips from 2025 Native Plant Garden Tour host and avid bird photographer, Gordon Ownby. Knowing the components of a Certified Wildlife Habitat can also provide some great leads.

Here is the official word on how to participate in the challenge.
