The Bungalow Heaven Tour offers a chance to explore a neighborhood the American Planning Association named among the 10 great places in America. This historic Pasadena community is full of charm, history, tree canopy – and lovely gardens too!
Primarily a home tour, it will offer a chance to see a FormLA garden designed to unify a historic craftsman bungalow and a new look-alike ADU on the dance floor. You’ll smell fragrant Pitcher’s Sage and native salvias, blooming California Lilac, all intertwined with notes from the citrus trees.
In front, the homeowner’s self-designed desert garden offers its curb appeal with a dose of deep shade from Sycamore and Coast Live Oak canopy with a happy punctuation of manzanita. As you greet the eye-catching agave, show some respect. She is the mother of many pups who will greet you from container gardens as you make your way through the garden.
We will not be ever-present in the garden, as we can’t resist the chance to explore the homes on tour. You will find authentic native foliage well-marked as you enjoy the space.
