Join the Santa Monica Mountains Fire Safe Council (SMM-FSC) FormLA Landscaping, neighbors and friends to learn about wildlife-friendly wildfire resilient home hardening and fire defensive gardening.
The annual event features games, exhibits, booths, refreshments, and a hike into the beautiful Malibu Canyon wild space. Cassy Aoyagi will provide tours of the gardens, highlighting fire defensive strategies and plant choices.
This area is known to be 20 degrees cooler than surrounding areas of Calabasas – we still recommend a water bottle, sturdy shoes, a shading hat and sunscreen.
