Join us as we show up to maintain the welcoming nature of our community. A FormLA Landscaping Maintenance Manager JT Wilkinson will join Sunland Tujunga Forward to guide care of the recently planted Tujunga Garden of Resilience and Inclusion.
JT manages and evolves dozens of native plant gardens throughout LA County, including several high profile public gardens. You’ll learn from JT’s expertise in sustainable garden management, witness the growth of the foliage planted by community, and engage with a vibrant array of Tujunga-native wildflowers as we:
- Add mulch to preserve soil temperatures and hydration
- Affirm the functionality of low-flow, subsurface, drip irrigation
- Weed volunteer foliage, focusing on arson grasses, to amplify community safety
We’ve loved every moment of engaging with Sunland-Tujunga Forward, and we expect you will too! STF will bring snacks, coffee and tools. We recommend you prepare with sunscreen, broad hats, gloves, stable shoes, and clothes that can see some dust.
