Tujunga Garden of Resilience and Inclusion

Community Creates Vibrant Welcome on the East Side of Sunland-Tujunga

Location:  6301 Foothill Boulevard (Foothill + Pali), Sunland-Tujunga

Open: Visible 24×7 from Spring 2025

Cost:  Free

Sunland Tujunga Forward organized community members to beautify the east entrance to Tujunga. With each event, more and more neighbors honk, wave, and stop to learn more.

The Tujunga Welcome Garden of Resilience and Inclusion currently features boisterous native wildflowers. As a result of Sunland Tujunga Forward seeding the area years before planting began, the wildflowers emerged to cheer the work! Better yet, you’ll see them lighting up the median as the perennial foliage planted by the community establishes itself.

FormLA Landscaping designed the Tujunga Welcome Garden of Resilience and Inclusion to create delight and authentic habitat along the full median. Long term, the garden will create community curb appeal with a compelling mix of native foliage that thrives on very little supplemental water, even in the high, dry heat and frequent drought conditions of the area.

Sunland Tujunga Foward will continue to expand the garden in phases. Begin the next phase with us in the fall of 2025.

Plant Palette

The new garden’s palette riffs off the now well established welcome garden on the west side of Sunland-Tujunga, the Sunland Nature Welcome Garden.
